What are the different steps of my trip on the A79?
When you travel on the A79, your journey takes place in several stages:
- You enter the A79 and travel freely, without toll barriers or stopping.
- You pass under free-flow toll gantries equipped with sensors and cameras.
- Your vehicle is identified using either your electronic toll tag or the reading of your vehicle registration plate.
- Your journey information is analyzed to determine the toll amount corresponding to your route.
- You pay for your journey:
- automatically if you have an electronic toll tag or a registered license plate;
- before travelling on the A79 through a prepayment solution to anticipate payment;
- within 72 hours after your journey if you use one-time payment.
If payment is not made within 72 hours, a payment notice is sent to the holder of the vehicle registration certificate, including a fixed compensation fee of €10, rising to €90 after 15 days.
